iTunes Connect Binary Rejected

The rejected game serves up test Vungle ads perfectly on all my test iOS devices.

Game compiled and submitted with:

Corona SDK 2014.2477

iOS SDK 8.1

Xcode 6.1

OSX 10.9.5

Answered the Application Loader Advertising Identifier questions to the recommend Vungle guide lines:

https://github.com/Vungle/vungle-resources/blob/master/iOS-resources/IDFA-Autoscan.md

Notice from the iTunes Connect Resolution Center states that my app that is using Vungle ads was rejected for the following reasons:

“We found that your app uses the iOS Advertising Identifier but does not include ad functionality… If your app is serving ads, please: - Provide us the steps to locate ads in your app”

Does anyone have advice on how I should reply to the Resolution Center with steps to locate ads in my app?

Thanks,

Warren

Its possible that Vungle didn’t have inventory when it was time to review the app.  You might want to implement a backup add provider.  You can use this tutorial to help get you started:  http://coronalabs.com/blog/2013/11/19/tutorial-using-multiple-ad-networks/

Thanks for the tutorial link, Rob!

I’ve never used video ads in game before and I don’t want to over saturate my players with ads so I’m only serving up an ad at the end of every fourth completed game.

Is it possible that all I have to provide to the iTunes Connect reviewer is state that they play the game 4 times to see the Vungle ads?

Warren

They probably didn’t play it that long.  I would tell them that.

Rob

Thanks, I’ll give it a try and report back with the results.

Warren

Explaining to the reviewer where and when the ads would appear in the game was all they needed. The game is now published and in the iTunes app store.
