JDK 6 Recognition Issues

Hey all! I am new to Corona SDK and app programming in general and I am having some trouble with Corona not recognizing that I have installed JDK 6 (x86). I had it previously installed for various reasons, and am unsure how to make Corona find it. I have been hunting around the forums and Google for a way to do this, but have thus far been unlucky. Any way to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

Uninstall Java JDK from your PC and remove folder. Restar computer.

Download this http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/7u51-b13/jre-7u51-windows-i586.exe (it is x86 installer (use it even on 64 bit system) of JRE (it’s part of JDK but it’s enough))

The documents here on coronalabs says it works only with 6, not 7. Thoughts?
