Hi Guys!
I’m new and just began using this! I’m so exited for making Ipod apps… I’ve worked with my Uncle in Blitz3D for a little while.
Just wanted to say Hi!

Im new to corona and having just a little bit of trouble getting started. For some reason I can’t get it to open the editor on windows. I have notepad and NP++ the screen blinks once and nothing happens. Did i miss something else to download?
Thanks,

Hi! Sorry Roger, I can’t really help you. I’m new to this too.
I have a question of my own… Can I test my app on my iPod touch if I am using the trial version of Corona? Thank you!

@doinmyappthing, here’s the answer to your question:

@RogerDBelk, I’m sorry I have no idea what it is that you are unable to do. You mentioned: I can’t get it to open the editor on windows.
But what is it?

yes, with the trial you can build for YOUR own device [import]uid: 76003 topic_id: 16143 reply_id: 60212[/import]
The “IT” is the “Open Project in Editor” under the file on the corona simulator. I have beat it around for 1 1/2 hours trying to make it open to the editor. It flashes the simulator command window and then nothing appears.
Using windows 7 Asus 8gb /700gb I7
Thanks,
Roger Belk

@RogerDBelk, you know, I’ve never used the “Open Project in Editor”. I hope someone else will come along to help you out, and I’d learn something new too [import]uid: 67217 topic_id: 16143 reply_id: 60233[/import]
Sorry all. My bad. I had to go to the control panel in windows and set the default open for.lua files to NP++
Again sorry. But I got it now. Thanks for your time.

You welcome Roger!
I was coming to tell you how to solve your problem as I`ve had that also on my side.

I knew it had to be something simple. I was starting to look in to opening up in eclipse if I couldn’t get NP++ to open the main file when I click the open projects in editor.
I am behind in the learning curve here. I may have to fall back to the android sdk if i don’t catch on to this soon. LOL
Thanks again for everyone’s help!
