Labs - iPad Mini plans?

Ok everyone - we all know its coming, and its expected to impact the new nooks, kindles and nexxus. October 23 isnt that far away.

Is there a way we can be proactive, rather than reactively supporting this like with the iPhone and the new nooks etc? I still havent caught up with the new nooks and new iphone, and now there is more to-do…

Could CoronaLabs get an NDA in place with (Apple, Amazon, B&N etc) to assure no latency in supporting these new products, and we have answers and resolutions without waiting? Time to Market is everything in our business - why cant we all take advantage of the ‘worlds #1 mobile development plaform’?

Just curious, does anybody know the resolution for this upcoming Mini? Apple typically doesn’t divulge details until right before (or at) the official product announcement. I’m also guessing that securing an NDA with Apple would be near impossible.

My suggestion is, if you have a “guess” at the Mini resolution… say it’s 1200 x 1600 … just start planning or adjusting your config.lua scaling to accommodate around the range, and then hope that the leaked rumored resolution is correct. ;). I know this isn’t the answer you wanted, but perhaps it’s better than nothing.

As far as I know based on a few rumours, sizes and good old guesstimation. It will be the same resolution as the iPad 2. So it shouldn’t need any further work to get the apps working, they will just be presented on a smaller screen. [import]uid: 62706 topic_id: 31976 reply_id: 127571[/import]

Except for the pervasive rumor that its going to be a 16:9 ratio device, so it could end up being 1366x768… But given the new KF’s and Nooks higher resolution, Apple might be inclined to give it a bit higher resolution.
