Lag on Android

This is a specific question, maybe to the developers of Walkabout, Blast Monkeys and Orbital Defender, Do you have an android device that you have tested before releasing your apps?

I requested someone to ß test for me, on his android devices he has found the app to have an unacceptable lag, however these games worked fine, so if you are ok, would you want to share a little about how did you manage to reduce that *lag* or rather what version did you compile with, and what is it that makes your apps responsive on the Android.

There are no issues on the iOS whatsoever.

cheers,

Hi Jayantv,
I have tested Orbital Defender mostly on Nexus One and Motorola Droid 2 and I had a chance to test it shortly on other devices too, e.g. Nexus S, Galaxy Tab, EVO 4G, Droid, G2, HTC Incredible, HTC Desire.

Then I experimented with many Corona SDK builds and ended up with 319 daily build because I wanted to support old devices with Android 2.0.1 and it was the first build that fixed issue with touch events.
But if you are ok with Android 2.2+ then I would recommend you to use 484 release build or latest daily builds.

BTW: The game is being sold much better on Android platform than on iOS platform. So it was worth to support Android OS. [import]uid: 5411 topic_id: 11414 reply_id: 41853[/import]
