Language specific app

I am in the process of completing my first app. The app has some voices that are currently in English as well as the instructions in English. I wanted to convert it to different languages so that it would appeal to more people.

So I am wondering…

How can I submit and language specific app? For example having one version of the app in English and only displaying the app in the app store to English speaking countries.

Thanks
Derek

I’ve recently submitted my first app and I had assumed that since my instructions were in english that I should limit it to english speaking countries. Going through the process, I was given the option to make the app available everywhere (I think that’s the default) and I took it.

You can get data on where your app is being downloaded and I’m getting downloads in lots of places where english is not the primary language. Places like Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, Kuwait and France.

There are options in iTunes Connect for managing different language versions of the app. [import]uid: 17085 topic_id: 12639 reply_id: 46262[/import]

Cool thanks!

So what your saying is most of this is set up once the app is complete and submitted to Apple.

I just took another look. There is an option called “Manage Localization” when you submit an app. With this you can submit screen shots and app descriptions that are in different languages.

It seems like this would work well for you if you have a single app and give users the option to specify what language they want to use. If you’re planning separate apps for the different languages that would be a different scenario.

I’m sorry I can be more helpful. Maybe someone how has a multi-language app will respond with better info, [import]uid: 17085 topic_id: 12639 reply_id: 46294[/import]
