Seems like latest builds do not support iOS 3.x, our game crashed on start. Could anybody confirm this?
@Ansca Am I right? If yes, when iOS 3.x will be supported again? [import]uid: 9058 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 308209[/import]

You are correct, after build 315 iOS 3.x is unsupported.
Although it should be coming back soon I think… [import]uid: 33866 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 29296[/import]
Well then, I guess I upgraded to iOS 4 just in time. I do hope Ansca supports 3 again though; although prior to my upgrade a bunch of people convinced me that almost everyone is on iOS 4 and continuing to worry about iOS 3 is unnecessary, since then I’ve been seeing that wasn’t exactly true.
@Andriy: For reference, is that your main phone or is that a backup testing device? Also, which model is it? I’m curious if the reason it has iOS 3 is because you never upgraded, or if it’s because it’s an old model that can’t be upgraded. [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 29308[/import]
iOS 3 development is still important on older devices like the 2G iPhone which can only go as far as iOS 3… So definitely wouldn’t dismiss that market just yet. [import]uid: 33866 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 29330[/import]
Yes, we use iOS 3.x for testing on iPad and iPhone 3G. If Ansca dropped supporting of 3.x, than of course we’ll upgrade these devices, but waiting for Ansca comments. [import]uid: 9058 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 29356[/import]
You guys wanted Game Center and some other stuff like push, so we had to drop support for 3.xxxxxx and below.
It should not crash though.

Somehow the memo didn’t go out… or I assumed everyone knew that GC = iOS 4.0
Apologies for that.

Yeah I know GC is iOS 4 and figured that was why. Is there a way to have OpenFeint use GC on iOS 4 but not on iOS 3, or to do an iOS 3 build that doesn’t have GC? [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 29418[/import]
huh? say whaaaaaat?
LOL
figuring out exactly that.

Is not it possible to build a game that will only enable Game Center if the device got iOS 4? When a game played on iOS 3 the game center wont be activated

Just like Tiny Wings, it only requires iOS 3.1+ to be played
Maybe in lua we can have something like isGameCenterAvailable() api? Just asking if it is possible to keep iOS 3 supported! [import]uid: 41267 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 30506[/import]
I want to know if it is possible to turn off iOS 3.x support while lots of players complained that my app crashed on iOS 3.x. I guess it is because I used custom font in my app…

Just tested my project on a 3G iphone with 3.1.3 FW, OpenFeint / GameCenter enabled. It crashes. Will that remain like this, or can we somehow enable just OpenFeint on 3.x firmware?
The integration is awesome, it works like a charm on iOS4, both iPhone and iPad… way to go, Ansca!!! [import]uid: 4572 topic_id: 8209 reply_id: 31118[/import]
yes we know. game center is 4.0 only and we are going to look into fixing it so you can load OF on 3.x. Gamecenter by default requires 4.0
