Latest Mac Java Update

I just want to know if the latest Java Update for Mac OS Mountain Lion 2012-006 1.0 work well with luaglider? [import]uid: 31508 topic_id: 32041 reply_id: 332041[/import]

Hello Bpran,

Apple says they are updating to 1.6.37 so it should work. We have been developing on the same JVM version on windows for a while now.

Doesn’t work for me.

OSX 10.8.2 java 7 update 9

A window pops up with this error:
org.netbeans.InvalidException: StandardModule:com.MYDevelopers.Cider.CoronaBridge jarFile: /Applications/LuaGlider.app/Contents/Resources/LuaGlider/LuaGlider/modules/com-MYDevelopers-Cider-CoronaBridge.jar: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NoSuchFieldException:

If there are more people having this problem, let us know here.
That way it can be fixed.

I’m not sure WHY i can’t load the modules… as the error says.

The dialog gives 2 options:
“Exit” and “Disable Modules and Continue”

only the 2nd option works to open the IDE but the IDE itself is useless;

  • Won’t open projects
  • Can update, but doesn’t seem to help
  • Cant create any new project
  • Cant use the ide for corona sdk

I really hope this can be fixed SOON.

Btw: the M.Y. Developers support is great.
Apple just screwed up java again.

I tried:

  • Remove the cache “application support/luaglider/dev”
  • Reinstall luaglider
  • Go back to java 6 32 bit and 64 bit.
  • Can’t set a java version (32-bit or 64-bit) ?
    EDIT:
WITH THE HELP OF M.Y. Developers WE FIXED THIS ISSUE.
    What you need to do is;
  • Check if you have java installed and not OpenJDK as that breaks lua Glider

** FIX **
->> If you have OpenJDK you fix it with doing this:

  • Go to your macintosh HDD in the finder and locate this folder:
    /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines

No remove ALL content inside that folder.
Then loop trough these steps:

  • Remove Glider by drag and drop from the “Programs” folder into the recycle bin.
  • Go to this folder “[user]/Library/Application Support/LuaGlider” and remove the complete “LuaGlider” folder into the recycle bin.
  • Reinstall lua glider

You should have a working Glider installation.
Remember don’t mess up by reinstalling OpenJDK, just stay and use the java you have. [import]uid: 158688 topic_id: 32041 reply_id: 129772[/import]

Hello sworteu,

Yes we understand this is a very frustrating situation. Please go to help->upload logs if possible so we can see exactly where the problem is occurring. Most likely what happened is some library call we were using was removed from the java update. We missed your gchat this morning but we will be online all day so whenever you get a chance please contact us.

Edit- Issue is resolved above.
