launchpad/analytics & previous stable version

Hi,

I recently created three apps (now in the AppStore) with what was then the latest stable version (484). Since then, launchpad has been released so I wonder how I can use it. Analytics says I should compile with the current stable version (591), but the apps are already in the appstore and I haven’t a good reason to publish a new version.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hey there,

You do need to build with .591 to get working analytics, yes; what I did for an app I had up but was keen to get to see stats on was simply to resubmit it as version 1.0.1 and list changes as something general, like “minor bug fix” or the like.

You can see based on the tabs that it shows sessions (how many sessions there were and what devices they were on), how many unique users and how long they spent playing  [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 13829 reply_id: 51086[/import]

Click on LaunchPad Dashboard at the top to get your data.

I’m not sure why you are seeing that many unique users with that many downloads; do you know whether or not your app has been cracked? (It happens a lot.) Of course, I believe that if a user puts an app on their iPhone and iPad and plays it on both, it will count as two unique users - I’d need to confirm that though. (LaunchPad is still shiny and new ;)) [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 13829 reply_id: 51861[/import]

thanks … its been cracked :frowning:

Try not to be too sad about that; it happens a lot and the way I see it (just my opinion) is that those who use a cracked version would not have bought the app anyway, so you aren’t losing money.

Then, if you have Facebook or Twitter or the like in your app, then it’s a little free publicity for you
