Launchpad/dashboard/analytics/unique users = accurate?

I was just wondering how accurate is the analytics unique users. [import]uid: 89663 topic_id: 19369 reply_id: 319369[/import]

It’s probably close to the actual number, but it will be off slightly as not all of your users will have an internet connection when they run your App.

More importantly, unless you were to add your own analytics and compare the two, there is no other number to bench mark against the unique users analytic provided by LaunchPad. Ansca couldn’t even provide you with an answer to how accurate it is if they wanted to. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 19369 reply_id: 74774[/import]

so the assumption would be if there are higher numbers in “Launchpad/dashboard/analytics/unique users” than in “itunesConnect/sales and trends” that the cause would be pirated copies of the app, correct? [import]uid: 89663 topic_id: 19369 reply_id: 74777[/import]

No at all. As I said, there is nothing to bench mark “unique users” to. A unique user means someone with an internet connection played your game during period X. That is not the same as downloads (free or not). [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 19369 reply_id: 74807[/import]

i thought that the launchpad/dashboard/analytic/uniqueUsers counts a unique users once by the devices UDID.

Meaning if someone was to download it and play it, it would count their devices once for uniqueUsers and then continue to track there playing sessions separately.

or am i just misinterpreting it. [import]uid: 89663 topic_id: 19369 reply_id: 74809[/import]

i went and looked at it again, is this how it is suppose to be read
there were 10 sessions by 5 unique users for today.

there were 15 sessions by 5 unique users for yesterday.
and the unique users could be the same for both days, correct?
