Let's move beyond AdMob smart banners

I’ve used AdMob in previous apps before  discovered corona and I want to use AdMob with corona. Thing is, the app I’m building with corona, Danger Moose Dash http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2pqVX5x69_E, is landscape and I can only use smart ad banners.

This means I have a long strip of text ad across the top - no option for image ads. I would like to NOT use smart ads and have an image ad in the top right hand corner. Can we get this sorted??? I’m convinced this will ensure I rack up a lot more click-thrus if I can enable image ads in my app. Let’s do this!!!

Cheers,

Andy

Was the video supposed to demonstrate a problem?  I’ll need a little more info to take to the engineers.

Thanks

Rob what he means is the current admob plugin uses smart ads vs banner ads. Pretty much google will fetch your game resolution and if it’s landscape they will show a long thin ad like so

If your game is portrait though it usually shows a banner ad. Admob allows you to use banner ads directly though rather then smart ads. So no matter which orientation your app is you will see a banner ad which is much thicker and easier to click on like so
