So I’ve been googling for a bit, trying to find some third party software to help me with level creation. I’ve found LevelHelper, and this seems perfect, but is sadly Mac only (using a Windows machine), so thats a no-go for me.

There are a few possibilities - Lime, Gumbo, Tiled. Possibly your best bet is LevelDirector though.
