Level Helper is it a good tool?

Hey everyone my name is Jaren I’m new to corona I have been using gamesalad for a bit I’m not very good at it but I’m realizing it isnt very powerful. I have no coding experience so I’m slowly learning. I was just wondering if anyone uses Level Helper http://www.levelhelper.org/ and if it is any good?

Yes. You will need to get SpriteHelper as well. Together, those are mighty powerful tools  [import]uid: 10389 topic_id: 24008 reply_id: 96769[/import]

Level helper is a good tool. I don’t use it that much (not on this project).
I use a ton of tools, and this is my misc list of things I use currently.

Physics editor
Corona Project Manager (BIG time saver here, it’s awesome)
BBEdit for text/coding
Textmate for text coding

if I am on windows I will use NOTEPAD++ (My favorite of all, but only on windows not mac.GRRRR)

Adobe Illustrator to create vector based art (so I can resize it to whatever Apple decides to create next, ultra super duper retina with a 1,500,000,000,000 x 1,000,000,000 display…lol)
Adobe Photoshop
GIMP
SVG INKSCAPE

The last 2 are free (GIMP is like photoshop, but free, and same thing for SVG INKSCAPE, it’s like illustrator, but free as well).

I also use Logic Pro 9 and main stage 2 (music programs) for my music production (I’m involved in licensing and writing soundtracks for eh, other projects)

That about does it. There are other things too if you want fancy like Particle Candy, Text candy, Lime ( a level editor tool, I use it it’s great just I don’t use it much right now), svg level editor (another level editor tool, create things in SVG inkscape and export your level in lua, pretty cool but the author lays really low and updates are intermittent).
That’s my rant, sorry its not that organized, I just typed it out as it came to mind  Welcome to corona sdk, I started in June 2011, never coded ANYTHING before. Now I am getting for release with a complicated physics game, with fancy menus, open feint, twitter, Facebook, etc etc. Crazy to realize how far I have come!

-Best,
Nick
