Levelhelper or not?

Hi,

Another quick question…  I am looking at making a physics based game that will include upward scrolling (like doodle jump) levels.   Would it be better to code everything myself or use a program like levelhelper.   I am aware that levelhelper would do a lot of things for me, but I am looking at learning the better practice - not necessarily the easiest method…

Thanks,

Craig

I found that Level Helper (You have to buy Sprite Helper to use Level Helper) has a lot of bugs and really bad ones that sometimes make me re-place whole levels. If you haven’t already checked it out here is the Million Tile Engine: http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/33119-million-tile-engine-beta-release/

It’s pretty simple but a bit hard to get started with.

Don’t be afraid of easy.      Sometimes you buy, sometimes you build.

If an out of the box level editor works for you, use it.
