Limit support to high resolution devices only?

There are a lot of documentation and tutorials showing how to support all possible devices.  However, I can’t find info on how to limit support for older devices.

For example, how can I make sure an app is not tried/installed on a device with resolution lower than an iPhone 4?

check device resolution and screen size and then prompt user he cannot use it and exit. Otherwise run app

Haven’t published yet, so I would like to know, if there is a way from App Store and Google Play Store, to limit download in the first place to certain devices that do not meet minimum requirement?

With Apple, there may be some plist keys that you can set that say things like gyroscope required, which would limit things to the iPhone 4 or  later.  I believe iTunes looks at that information and won’t offer your app for sale to devices that don’t have the proper hardware requirements.  But screen size is not one of them.

Google Play and the Samsung store allow you to specifically pick devices to not support.  The list is long and hard to deal with, but at least on the Samsung side, they do give you screen sizes to work with.  I’ve heard that Amazon has a similar way to restrict, but to be honest I’ve never looked or heard.

On Google Play you can manually exclude devices, but it would be a pain because there are like 4000.  Natively you could modify the manifest file to exclude certain resolutions, but I’m not sure how to go about this via Corona.  Maybe someone here can help with that.  And I’m not too sure about iOS.

I personally wouldn’t recommend piotrz method as it could potentially cause a lot of bad reviews.
