Loading A Png Image Without The Background Inside The Image Showing.

I’d like to load the following image without displaying the white background around it:

Something tells me this has more to do with an image editor than Corona. Thanks in advance for your help.

Quite - you’ll need to delete all of the white space. Most image editors have a tool that’s usually depicted as a magic wand that allows you to select same-color sections - select and delete it.

As said, you need to delete the white pixels so it becomes transparent.

try www.pixlr.com its a great picture editor that ive used for my projects.

In pixlr do following

  • open the picture, select all with the square selector and copy marking.
  • choose new image in tab and be sure to check the box “Transparent pixels”, the size should be automated by your copy.
  • then pick the wand and click on the wand and delete that area, woila !
