Lock Issues

Hi, just upgrade to Lua Glider 2 on my mac mini and I’m having major issues thats making Lua Glider unusable

When I first open it, it is taking 3+ minutes to load, then once I’m in its taking 2-5 minutes to build projects. Even then the Corona sample Hello World is taking 2 minutes to build.

I’ve tried reinstalling several times but am having no luck in getting it to run.

Can anyone help me out?? Prior to upgrading it have been running fine for 6 months.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

The issue seems to be resolved at the minute, I’ve updated my OS and it seems to be running again back at the correct speed.

I’m going to have a coding session tonight, so I will let you know if I have any further problems

Thanks

Spoke too soon, have booted up today and its taking 2.5 minutes to load Lua Glider, and over a minute to build the Corona ‘Hello World’ sample.

Have you got any suggestions, on what I can do to fix it??

Are you using a network drive by any chance? You may want to change the project build path to another folder (like C:/GliderBuilds/)

Hi, have sent you a chat invite

No I’m not using network drive (can’t actually access my network drive since updating to Mavericks - but that a whole other issue)

My current project build path is /Users/3foldstudios/Library/Application Support/luaglider2/dev, but changing it hasn’t made any difference

Also I got a notification of 5 plugin updates, but when I go to download them it just keeps coming back that it can’t connect to the update center /www.mydevelopersgames.com/site/Glider/v2/v20x/org-MYDevelopers-Databases.nbm

Hi, I’m finding that if I turn wi-fi off on my mac it takes 30secs (ish) to load Lua Glider and about 5 secs max to build.

Compared to the 3 minutes to load and 2 minutes to build when its switched on

Hello 3Fold Studios,

Thanks for reporting this!

That is bizarre. How repeatable is it?

Hi, I find it does it every time.

If wi-fi is turned on and I load Lua Glider the load screen appears and it hangs on the “Turning on…” section for a couple of minutes.

If wi-fi is turned off Lua Glider starts within 30 secs. If I’ve start Lua Glider with wi-fi turned on and its hanging on the “Turning on…” section if I turn wi-fi it loads straight away.

I’ve also noticed that when Lua Glider is actually loaded it seems to take a while for all the different plugins to show as successfully loaded in the plugin console

Thanks
