Logfile location

OK, I am really new at this.  I keep seeing references to the log file, but have not been able to find anyplace in the documentation that tells me where it is or how to create it. It would be a great help!

I am working directly on my PC using the CRM and the Corona simulator. Is the simulator console log the log file? I hope not because it doesn’t help a lot.

Thanks for any help.

Where are you “seeing references to the log file”?

In general, the log/console/terminal (all basically names for the same thing) are visible in a few places depending if you’re on Windows or Mac, and on the Simulator or a device.  Check out this blog post for more information: http://www.coronalabs.com/blog/2013/07/09/tutorial-basic-debugging/

That blog was what led to my question. However, reading the blog a little closer…

Both iOS and Android devices produce console logs as well as the XCode Simulator.

it appears that I need to be on IOS or Android for those logs. Having developed on IOS before, I know where that log is. Never done Android, but that i why I am on Corona.

Thanks. I was hoping for more info than the console lot provides.
