Long-time developer, new to Corona

Hi All,   I’ve been programming since the Jurassic era of punched cards and mainframes that aren’t as powerful as my iphone.

I’m working on some cross-platform games and am very happy I found Corona.  I started learning Corona less than 2 months ago and my first game is almost ready to go.  I was surprised when I built for iPhone/iPad and for Android and the game immediately worked on all devices!  Pretty impressive that Corona can really do that.

Prior to that I was beginning to work with Phonegap, but Corona suits my needs much better.

Cheers,

Jerry

Welcome to the fun.   Not to date myself, but I’ve spent too much time on an IBM 29 cardpunch machine.  I’d much rather burn up paper on my Decwriter LA-32 teletype and a 300 baud modem playing Decwars!

I don’t remember Decwars, but I sure remember IBM 29s and teletypes.  I bet you used to save your programs on paper tape.  For a while we used a GE Timeshare which had a pretty good version of Basic.  Somehow I feel right at home with Lua…  Thanks for the welcome.
