Looking For Font Geniuses

Hi there.

For the Android app I’m working on right now, I’ve been building a custom font using FontCreator 6. It spits out the .ttf file just fine, and it loads into the windows Simulator just fine as well as all the rest of my Windows app. The only problem I run into is that my font never loads on my actual Galaxy Tab, and I get the craptastic default font. I’ve looked at other posts about custom fonts, and I’ve run the AutoNaming function in FontCreator to make sure all the names are consistent. Still no dice on the Galaxy.

So my question is this. Is there a utility out there that will look at a font and actually identify why it isn’t loading on an Android device? Alternatively, is there a service out there where people can send someone a font to have a dead chicken waved over it to make it happy on Android? The font issue is a major blocker right now because I can’t finalize the UX if I don’t know if the fonts are going to be correct.

If you know of a solution here, drop me line back at nealiios@aol.com please.

Thanks,
Neal
