This month there will be reviews on the various game engines (not necessarily all) that exist on http://reviewme.oz-apps.com so if you keep an eye out, you can know about all the options that exist and the pros and cons of the same.
Ultimately, it is all about what you want and how you want, Love let’s you make desktop app using lua code, but it is in source format, so anyone can see your source code. so there are issues like those that make it important to choose the proper tool, proper for what your requirements are of course.
