Lua is it really lua?

Hi,

Before jumping into resources and reading the wrong thing.

I was wondering is Corona Lua language really written in lua?
Like Android Java and Java is written different but they say it’s easy to learn Android Java if you learn java.

If i learn lua from the link below, would it help me learn corona lua ?

Yes everything really is written in Lua, there are API’s to access everything but it is just Lua.

So reading something like Programming in Lua is good

It is Lua, but don’t expect to be able to access all the libraries in a common Lua interpreter.

Libraries like os and debug if available will have limited functionality.

This is technically “embedded Lua” so the libraries and API’s available will be up to the maker of the host application (Ansca). [import]uid: 846 topic_id: 10983 reply_id: 40146[/import]
