Hi Corona team,
Thanks from providing support for Mac osx and Win applications. It’s a great way to work for multiple target platforms by staying on single development tool as well as It opens more challenges and questions for developers too.
Can I think little advance for Mac osx application using Corona SDK? Is there way to add menu bar support for game? Please find the image what I’m referencing.

Sorry, this is not something we plan to add to CoronaSDK in the near future.
Bummer. System tray support and menu bar icons are a must for most desktop applications.
Just imagine Dropbox. Etc.
FWIW Corona’s focus has never been on background processes. Corona SDK assumes that the app will be the focus of the desktop/device. If one’s intent is to create a program that requires it to run in the background, Corona is most likely not the tool for that particular job.
