Mac OS X Games?

Just a quick question as I didn’t see it in the forums, but can Corona be used to create Mac OS X Games? Since the simulator runs on Mac and there is resolution independence, I would think it would be possible.

Thanks! [import]uid: 10276 topic_id: 16004 reply_id: 316004[/import]

It’s not currently possible…

I think it would be a good addition, but, they are spending all the time working as a “mobile” framework, so i don’t it will ever happens.

I would like to be able to run the games in BB (touch) and in Windows 7 phones… (and i strongely think they are working on that right now) but for sure i don’t see Corona as a Desktop Creation Software right now… I hope they do it in the future, can you imagine if you can compile the game for windows/macosx/android/ios/wp7/bb ? that would be absolutely great… [import]uid: 75034 topic_id: 16004 reply_id: 59359[/import]

@syscobra Thanks for the reply. I agree all those platforms would be great! I was just hoping that with the Mac App Store there would be enough market to justify the effort.

This is so much +1. Looking at the games on Mac AppStore, Corona apps would give most of them a run for their money!

I think till AnscaMobile changes the *mobile* bit in the name, desktop apps will not be their focus.

cheers,
