Mac OSX Requirements

Hello,

I was wondering what OSX version(s) are compatible with Corona SDK.

Also, would this work:

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2GHz

  •  4GB DDR3 RAM
  • 160GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
  • 13.3-Inch Screen, GeForce
  • Apple Mac OS X 10.6

Looks like you need to upgrade your OS X version to 10.10 or later.

System Requirements:
Mac OS® X 10.10 or later, Intel Mac. For iOS builds, requires Xcode 6.3 or later

Note: I think this is because Apple made some requirements changes for xCode and iOS that can only be built from OS X 10.10.

I think this is their way of feeding the beast.  i.e.

  • Increase requirements,

  • give the OS away for free,

  • only support new OS (well) on more modern hardware…

  • sell more Apple computers

… repeat.

Wait, wait.  Let me try the optimistic spin:

  • Give away OS and tools for free, 

  • (Unfortunately require newer dev hardware and test devices),

- Ensure premium end user experience.
