Mac book air
or wait for update [import]uid: 7911 topic_id: 5628 reply_id: 305628[/import]
Macbook Air, hands down. Not only is it much faster, but its light weight design really help for coding on the go. As a student, I have a lot to carry, and a lighter computer is a blessing!
I sold my 15" Macbook Pro to buy an Air, and it is a decision I will always look back on and say “Thank God I did that!!”. I do all of my school work (which include software engineering work), all of my iPhone development, and all of my personal use on the Air with no issues.
Now you also need to consider that I purchased the 13" ultimate, so I got the 256 SSD, 2.14 GHZ, and 4GB of ram. With this setup, it runs much faster than my i5 MBPro ever did. If you are looking at the 11", it might not be as great.
Considering there might be an update coming soon, if you are willing to, I would wait to at least see what they do.
So that is just my opinion! [import]uid: 9968 topic_id: 5628 reply_id: 19234[/import]
I remember when the Air first came out a lot of people freaked out about the lack of a DVD drive. But when I think about it, I’ve literally only used my DVD drive a half dozen times in the last year, and all of those were Netflix movies that I probably could have streamed.
If only it came in a bigger screen I would probably go for an Air when I finally need to replace my Macbook Pro. [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 5628 reply_id: 19242[/import]

I was leaning toward to 13" air with 128 ssd really don’t think I need more as
I have never filled a 60 gb drive I’m real good about cleaning a system ever few
months if I haven’t used something in past few months chances are I won’t use
it later so I remove it from the system [import]uid: 7911 topic_id: 5628 reply_id: 19271[/import]
