macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hello everyone.

Has anyone upgraded macOS 10.14 Mojave?

Can Corona SDK build without problems?

I don’t believe we have done any official testing of Mojave. I did a personal “smoke” test on my personal MacBook when this question got raised in another place. I found a couple of cosmetic issues, one being a version number conflict that was fixed in today’s daily build.

Any time there is a big update like this, it’s hard to say that your particular Mac won’t hit a problem that’s not an issue for someone else’s Mac. So it’s really hard to predict until we get more data points on how safe it is to update.

In my limited testing, I built a non-game and a game for iOS and macOS and I ran the macOS builds. I didn’t try Android builds, nor did I try installing any device builds to devices.

My advice is pretty vague. If you only have one way to work with Corona and it’s mission-critical, you may want to wait for more people to update and see what problems they may run into. If you can either continue to work or if you hit a problem, report it and give us time to update, then it’s probably more safe for you to update. How important is it to you to update to Mojave? It’s all a balancing act.

here is report.

iMac 21.5-inch late 2013

macOS 10.14

Corona build 3406 and 3419

I tried updating HighSierra to Mojave.

It was no problem on my Mac.

The build of Android / iOS was also completed successfully.

Thanks!

I can also confirm no problems with building Android or iOS and running with Mojave 10.14 .

I dread having to do any updates on Mac OS as everything takes so long…the OS itself takes ages, then Xcode takes forever.  I need to book a holiday and start the updates before I leave, it should just about be done by the time I get back.

I can only assume that the hamster which powers the iPod Touch that hosts iTunes is always asleep.

@Alan PlantPot,

Really??  I find that macOS updates are far less disruptive and time consuming than those for Windows.
