I installed MacOs Catalina. Corona Simulator does not work.
Version 2019.3538 (2019.10.9)
I installed MacOS Catalina 2 days ago and it was working with Version 2019.3535. After reading this topic I installed the Version 2019.3538 and the Corona Simulator is working.
Can you be more descriptive other than “it doesn’t work”? In what way doesn’t it work? Are there error messages? Is it crashing? Is it throwing up a dialog box?
Help us help you!
Rob
Rob, I send you two captures to evaluate the problem.
MacOs Catalina is catastrophic. Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop stopped working because they were not 64 bits. Adobe, with Creative Cloud, is directly a scam for someone who lives outside the U.S.
I clarify something for you not to look for ghosts: this started when I updated Corona Simulator and MacOs Catalina. Last night everything worked wonders.
Corona Simulator: Version 2019.3538 (2019.10.9)
I’m installing Catalina right now.
My Catalina just finished installing. Corona 3538 launched, ask for access to ~/Downloads and ~/Desktop permissions. I granted them and the simulator loaded the welcome window. I clicked on a recent and it loaded into the simulator with no errors or warnings.
I also tried to build an app and it built successfully.
Is it possible it asked for permissions to your Documents folder and didn’t give it to Corona. I had this happen to me with Slack and my Downloads folder. I thought I granted the permission, but when I checked it wasn’t set.
Go to your System Preferences. Click on Security and Privacy. In the left sidebar scroll down to Files and Folders. Then find Corona and make sure Documents is checked.

Congratulations, Rob. You hit the spot again. BBEdit, which I installed to replace TextWrangler had the same problem. But the latter never gave error messages.
