Getting Started Newbie Questions

Hello everyone, I will like to Thank You in advance to anyone who can
help or point me in the right direction. I created an app about 3-4 months
ago using Corona SDK I took up learning programming and creating an
app as a hobby and came across Corona SDK and worked great. I have not
been programming since my app was release so my skills and memory need
a bit refreshing lol. Well thing is the app I created was a game and right now
im picking up programming again because Im going to help a friend create
an app of a magazine and since the app I created was a game we are a bit off
from game to magazine lol. I would appreciate if anyone knows best way create
an app of a magazine or if there is a link to a sample code will get me started.

Basically what we want to do is create a magazine in an app that will be like
reading a magazine as you normally would flip pages ect, I already have an idea
on how to image change by touching the image or a > button ect also maybe
when you click on image will send you to a certain website link. What I`m basically
asking here is an example of a magazine as an app or any sample code might be
best to start with because like I said the app I created was a game and from game
to magazine things are somewhat different lol. Huge plus will be a page flipping
effect not just screen goes black and new image pops up ect

If you do a quick look at the 3rd party section or google Kwik that will help you create a magazine without any coding all in Photoshop.

Alex has done an amazing task with Kwik and would be a recommended app…for those that have or are planning on Photoshop CS5, unfortunately it does not work with Photoshop CS4, I was one of the early ß testers and faced a lot of issues that did not exists with CS5.

Thanks for your advices and ill definitely look into Kwik never worked with it
or knew it exist but I saw the quick trailer and looks pretty interesting and I
have photoshop CS5 but i`m not that good at designing still learning my ways
around the design part.

Definitely echo the positive sentiments on Kwik. Its latest release makes it almost super simple to go from Photoshop concepts to full working app. I’ve had to add in other functionality such as navigation, table of contents and support for multitouch. To all of you my sincere thanks for the kind words about Kwik. Due the upcoming release of version 1.5 I haven’t had much time to check the forums so, let me know how can I improve our plugin.
