Me. I have a question and I am new.

Hi guys, I am new to your web forum and wanted to say hello and ask a question or two. Currently I develop websites for a living and have been programming for years. I remember being just a wee lad and using peek and poke to create a sprite on my old commadore 64 and being able to move it around with the joystick. Anyway, I know C and a gaggle of other programming langauges but mainly in the last few years its been PHP and MySQL. I am kinda rusty on the old fun langauges but thats why your SDK caught my attention. Instead of having to create everthing by scratch with Java, which id have to relearn hah, why not try Lua! Expecially since I see the projects you fellows make. Very Impressive. I have checked out other SDKs but so far I like this one the best, mainly because of the community. None of the other ones have a bunch of people sitting in a web forum giving each other support like this, that I noticed anyway. Questions though,

  1. The compiling happens on your servers, that worries me in a way and means I cant go to camp and program where theres no internet connection. Not really a question more of a complaint hah.

  2. Can I change my forum display name? I just want Michael or something to that effect hah If possible.

  3. Pirates or Ninjas?

  2. You can! Go “My account”, “Edit” then see “username”.

Oh nice! Thank you for the quick response. You guys are quick. I couldnt get my account to send me the validation email so I looked for a random form to fill out and send in. I used the form for Corona Enterprise sales and wrote that I couldnt get the validation email. This was last night so I assumedI would get an email on Monday. Imagine my surprise when no time at all later they validated my account and thanked me for telling them the validation script wasnt running. If you cant tell Im pretty impressed with how quick the responses fly around here. I should send Appcelerator and the like emails late friday evening and see how long for them to respond. haha. Awesome work guys.

I just realized I talk alot. I swear its my tablet I love this new thumb keyboard. :stuck_out_tongue: And its nice to meet you Peach Pellen. Hey Mike - nice to see the name change applied. We do our best to be quick to help resolve issues, even if it is a weekend :wink:
