Media Recording has stopped working

I have a recording piece to an app that has stopped working.  After checking around I decided to try the SimpleAudioRecorder sample under Media and it appears to not work also.

Anyone experiencing issues with recording and playback of audio?

In recent tests, the sample works fine. What device are you testing on? What version of its OS?

iPad mini running iOS 9.2.1.  Running Corona SDK v 2016.2816.  I thought it was probably something I had changed until I compiled the media sample and that didn’t work.

Hi @quikclosepro,

I just tried the sample on my iPhone 6S and it works fine. It initially shows a prompt asking whether I will allow access to the microphone (typical iOS behavior), then it lets me record sounds, which I can play back.

What in specific “doesn’t work” in your tests? Are you getting an error message? No playback? Does it ask you for microphone access?

Brent, It did not ask for access to the microphone so I checked in settings and sure enough it was set off.  Don’t know why but that fixed it.  Thanks
