Memory management and loading?

Hi,

I have big map of 32x32 grid size 20000 width and 768 height and 1000 objects.I am using physics,collision and sprite sheets. I have split that maps into 4 parts of 5000 width. I have find solution regarding that which are,

Is it possible to append two maps means when game starts at that time first map will load and when first map will complete at the same time I am appending second map and when first map goes out of screen after that remove first map. So is this possible? If yes please give some example for that.

OR

When first map will about to complete before that if I am loading second map and give it to position and when first map goes out of screen after that remove first map also. So is this possible? If yes please give some example for that.

I have find these two solution but I am confused which is better for device in terms of FPS, memory and no crash.

OR If you have any other solutions than most welcome…

At present you won’t be able to use Atlas for this as you are using physics. The easiest way to do it would be to set up a transitional “loading” screen to be shown when your player reaches the end of the map. [import]uid: 5833 topic_id: 19886 reply_id: 77334[/import]
