I’m creating a game. I created two spritesheets. I prepared them in Zwoptex and got two PNGs and two luas with description of frames.
When I launched app on 3GS device, it’s working fine. When I launched id on 3G, I could see only black screen, but the app didn’t crash.
I added texture memory preview and it turned out that both sprties consumed 12MB od memory.
I tried to add only one sprie, the smaller one. It showed up correctly on 3G device consuming only 4MB.
Questions: what are the limits of texture memory in case of sprites?
Are there any guidelines how to handle more comlex and high resolutions sprites to avoid such situasions on older devices?
