Mice???

I developed a utility app for iOS, based on a desktop app that I have sold for years.
I found the transition from mouse based precision, to fingertip ‘designing with a carrot’ incredibly frustrating, and its my biggest complaint about iPads in general.

I JUST LEARNED (OK, late starter…) that Android tablets can use a mouse, and if you attach one, you get the proper mouse cursor etc etc.

I dont recall EVER seeing the word mouse appear in these forums.
Has anyone used one?
Does Corona support this?

Should I start again and target Android after all?

‘designing with a carrot’… Haha. I liked that one

I might be wrong, but I think Corona should work fine with them since I’d expect the mouse to be handled by the system as just another input device. “Touch” events would be generated by the mouse instead of a touch on the screen. You wouldn’t be able to distinguish between left/right buttons though…

I’ve never tried connecting a mouse… maybe time for some experiments  [import]uid: 70847 topic_id: 35763 reply_id: 142272[/import]
