Minimum Android version being 1.6 instead of 2.2?

Hey guys,

A few days ago Google released alpha testing for Android on the Google Play store. I am using this now for testing and everything is looking great, one strange thing though, the minimum android version for my app is 1.6 it says in the Google Play store. This seems to be very strange behaviour, while it really should be 2.2 right? Or have I missed something, I am using build 2013.1108.

Thankss in advance

We are not quite sure what you are seeing.  Two engineers checked and it’s showing API Level 8+ which covers 2.2.  I just published an update to one of my apps and I also saw the Level 8 show up and didn’t see a 1.6.  I suspect that this isn’t something to worry too much about.

Ok thanks for the verification Rob, I really appreciate it.

It’s probably caused by the new alpha testing from Google. If the problem also occurs after publishing I will get back to you guys.

Thanks
