Minimum subscription level for IAP

I would like to confirm something.  The basic edition of Corona includes plugins for Amazon, Fortumo and OUYA.  However, what if I want to do IAP only on iOS and through the Apple iTunes store?  Is this not allowed or is it already possible with the starter edition?  The docs did not say really one way or the other and I would like to find out.

Thanks!

I don’t believe that IAP is available in the Starter edition at all.

iTunes and Google Play IAP is supported natively in the SDK, not through plugins, so should be available to Basic customers.  Though the Google Play IAP is based on ver 2 of their API, which Google highly recommends you not using.  Supposedly, Corona will be releasing ver 3 API support through a plugin that is currently in beta, so I would imagine that would be available to Basic customers as well.

Update:

The plugin was released and is available for Basic customers.

Ok … I was confused because I read a tutorial from Sept 2013 that said iTunes and Google Play were built in the Corona SDK core.  I didn’t know if that meant those were available in the starter edition.  It makes sense that Corona would charge for IAP because that’s the primary way games (and all apps) are making money now.  And that is to their credit.  It’s a smart business decision.
