Missing Push Notification Entitlement

Just uploaded a update to my latest game and received a email from Apple -

We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for “Winning Post”. Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:

Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature’s entitlements do not include the “aps-environment” entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the “aps-environment” entitlement.

I use local notifications only and didn’t have any problems when I submitted the app originally, this is the first update.

Any ideas ?

Hey I just got the same message from Team Apple

I just updated App IDs with enable push notification and i resent my app and i just got second message form apple still missing the push notification.

Do I have to make a new distribution in the provisioning with the already push notification enable ? [import]uid: 180288 topic_id: 35398 reply_id: 140988[/import]

Right now we believe that message is just a warning, not a rejection and that it won’t affect approval. We are kind of waiting for the first apps to get through the approval process.

We think Apple has started running additional scans to help people who are loading push code to make sure they configured everything possible and it’s getting tripped up on some symbols in the code.

For now, don’t worry about it. If your app doesn’t do push, I wouldn’t mess with trying to add push.

This time next week, that may change but for now, we think it’s harmless.
