Mobile app analytics

So what is everyone using inside their Corona apps for analytics?

A recent article on our website talks about the dangers of not using good analytics: https://appdevelopermagazine.com/4653/2016/12/8/Inferior-analytics-may-make-your-app-extinct/

Internally to app track usage, screen flow, etc - I stick with Google analytics and my own blend of priority captures to a remote API we host.

Externally,I feel itunesConnect has gotten better to gauge overall traffic, impressions, payments, etc, so I use that in conjunction with App Annie, Sensor Tower, and a couple of other sources to know where I’m landing for keywords and competition.

What say you?

Got another analytics article to share with you guys. This time it’s a guest post from the Product Manager for Facebook Analytics for Apps.

https://appdevelopermagazine.com/4712/2016/12/15/Top-3-ways-to-grow-your-audience-with-Facebook-Analytics-for-Apps/

A few of the interesting things I’ll point out about the platform is the fact it’s an all-in-one analytics layer, especially for your marketing engagements because it not only tells you about audience demographics, but also about push alerts and more.

It’s a great piece - and be be applied to just about any analytical methodologies across the board when considering how to keep track of your users. Here is an excerpt from Josh (the author);

“To connect with your audience, you need to understand how they behave on all of their devices. focusing on silos won’t be enough—you can’t just consider desktop actions or just mobile app behaviors alone. Instead, you need to see the complete view: connecting the dots across desktop browsers, mobile web, native apps, and even bots. In understanding the complete picture, you’ll get to know your audience on a deeper level and see how their behavior evolves over time.”

Here’s the site to read over the docs: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/analytics/overview

There isn’t a Corona specific implementation but it’s mentioned that you do not need a Facebook login, or Facebook service running - and it’s an easy native integration so Enterprise users can start using it now.
