More codesigning problems - workaround

OK, so I have uploaded my first game, Tropical Pong, and made three updates to it - all goes fine. Yesterday, I went to finally build my new game, Nuclear Chickens to distribute - built for universal (Iphone and Ipad) - got two errors:

Icon dimensions don’t meet the size requirements
Application failed codesign verification
Several solid hours after working, deleting provisions, certificates, keys…creating a new profile on my mac, re-setting up settings, dragging files, pulling hair…

I started to get the Icon dimensions don’t meet the size requirements, and not the codesign error. So then I made the CFBundleIconFiles modification in Info.plist (already have all of my icon files bundled), the icon error went away and the codesign error came back!

After loads of fiddling. I finally built the app just for Iphone (so i dont have to deal with Info.plist), and it submitted just fine.

So my questions -

  • How do I upload the IPad version? Do I have to make an entirely new app in itunes connect?

  • Is the bundle changing because I changed the info.plist after packaging it with corona - and ultimately making the codesign error appear? If so - how do you set multiple icon files before you package it?

interesting… just found this scouring other threads:

settings =
{
 iphone =
 {
 plist =
 {
 CFBundleIconFile = "Icon.png",
 CFBundleIconFiles = {
 "Icon.png" ,
 "Icon@2x.png" ,
 "Icon-72.png" ,
 "Icon-Small-50.png" ,
 "Icon-Small.png" ,
 "Icon-Small@2x.png"
 },
 },
 }
}

trying it out. [import]uid: 13726 topic_id: 9040 reply_id: 32946[/import]

Uh, nevermind. So to answer my questions…

  1. Don’t need to, figured out the universal build.

  2. Yes, that is what did it. I was googling all over the place which led me to change the Info.plist file itself - DONT DO THAT. Instead, change your build.settings file which creates the Info.plist file when corona builds the app.

So thanks to Matthew Pringle in this post for helping me with that. [import]uid: 13726 topic_id: 9040 reply_id: 32948[/import]
