MOUNTAIN LION COMPATIBILITY POST

As of now, mountain lion publishing appears to be a problem.

Current Device Build Issues:

warning: There is no dwarfdump executable defined. (-19035)
warning: iPhone/iPod Touch: Unable to extract image dimensions. Please make sure it is a valid PNG image file. (-19014)
warning: iPad: Unable to extract image dimensions. Please make sure it is a valid PNG image file. (-19014)
warning: There is no codesign_wrapper executable. Please reinstall the Xcode developer tools. (-19058)

So, I wish I could restore to lion considering I cannot build for devices yet, so fair warning if you choose to upgrade! [import]uid: 59735 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 322124[/import]

That sounds similar to the 10.7.3 update breakage. You might try downloading the Application Uploader from iTunes Connect and installing it. [import]uid: 7563 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 87959[/import]

I updated my xcode to 4.3 from appstore and now Corona simulator wont build for device, it says:

The iOS SDK located at /Developer is missing the following component(s):
Please (re)install the the iOS SDK

I’ve always got it right from apple dev before but since they changed that they removed the old Developer path that xcode got installed in before.

Argh…

Well…well [import]uid: 13560 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 87961[/import]

Alright, though I am getting the pile of errors, it looks like the app is still usable. I have uploaded an app to iTunes Connect without problems, and even built for my device with no problems. I wonder if Apple will reject the app. [import]uid: 59735 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 87966[/import]

Have you guys tried getting the latest XCode 4.3 beta (4E71d) from the iOS developer portal along with the latest SDK? I’m running that under Mountain Lion and haven’t had any trouble building apps. [import]uid: 87138 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 87982[/import]

I am running xcode 4.4. Does 4,3 work? I remember getting a “your OS is too new” message. [import]uid: 59735 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 87983[/import]

I have a host of problems, same as above.

I’m just leaving it alone until it’s proven, I don’t like going through hoops to get things to work  [import]uid: 61600 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 87997[/import]

I haven’t upgraded to 4.4 yet, and since it seems people are having issues I guess I won’t for the time being :S

With XCode updates, I always like to keep the old version as a backup just in case when upgrading. I’d say it’s worth a shot re-downloading 4.3; Corona broke when the 4.3 beta was first released so there may well be something to that. [import]uid: 87138 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 88008[/import]

the “switch” terminal command fixed my problem. [import]uid: 13560 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 88065[/import]

Apple won’t accept any apps built on beta software will they?
[import]uid: 19626 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 89412[/import]

That is a good question rob. I know after major releases they do not, like for iOS 5. However, I thought they will accept applications that are built with a beta xCode, but just “built” for 5.0 instead of 5.1. It depends on what corona is building with, i guess. Yea, that’s true. Xcode shouldn’t matter, just the target OS. [import]uid: 19626 topic_id: 22124 reply_id: 89511[/import]

Ugh. Here’s another (more recent) thread on Mountain Lion
