Multi-Target Builds (iPad and iPhone Universal)

First off, while I’ve seen a radio button for this on the build screen, it’s never been available. Do I have something mucked up on my system or can we actually build universal apps for iPad/iPhone right now?

And yes, I know you can run iPhone apps at double size on the iPad, I’m more interested in shipping an iPad app with iPad assets and resizing them down if started on the iPhone.

Thanks,

So… any news here? Ansca?

Do we already have universal support for building one app for both iPhone and iPad and I just have something messed up in my environment?

If not, is it on the list?

Thanks,

Scott,

I just checked my build and iPhone+iPad is grayed out for me too.

It may be related to the OS build options. Building for IOS 3.2 won’t work on my 3.1.3 iPhone and the iPad option forces the build to 3.2. I can’t duplicate it but I was able to do a 3.0 build for iPad but iTunes didn’t see it as a iPad app.

I don’t think Corona uses any of the IOS 3.2 features but uses it to create the iPad build. It would be nice if we could create an universal app under the 3.0 OS build so it would work on everything.

I don’t think it is possible to build under 3.0 for the IPad, as 3.2 was the minimum SDK for IPad development.
My option in the build dialog for Iphone+IPad is greyed out too. [import]uid: 5712 topic_id: 1276 reply_id: 3565[/import]

Good, I’m not going to ahve to go insane trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

I guess I’ll post this up on Feature Requests then… or maybe I can call it a bug since it’s on the build dialog! Yah!

Thanks guys for replying.

Hehe… I refrained from saying that developer may just hide stuff instead of using disabled radio buttons for incomplete code… because people get confused… but I thought that would be to harsh… finding this thread… and knowing me trying to figure out how it works… make me think different now.
