In your opinion, is it better to publish a single app with multiple game modes or create multiple apps with a single play mode?
Depends on the app, on casinos for example you can have one main casino with all slot machines and then each slot machine as a standalone.
It really depends on what you are trying to do, if you mean “modes” as in simple, advanced etc. then I would do the one game with the different modes but if you are talking each game mode is different with graphics etc. then you could go either way but just remember for each game you release is another game you have to respond to reviews, requests, issues etc.
