Must I enroll in Apple's Developer Program to get an app on my own phone?

I found the Corona manual page on Building for Devices and the very first step involves shelling out $99 to Apple:

http://developer.anscamobile.com/content/building-devices-iphoneipad

I only want to run my app on my own phone (which is jailbroken and supposedly doesn’t care much about who signs my code.)

I really appreciate the Corona free trial period. I want to play around with development to see if it’s something I want to commit to paying Apple and Corona for.

Is there any way to get Corona to build an app for my phone without enrolling in Apple’s Developer Program? Self-signed certificates? [import]uid: 67337 topic_id: 10950 reply_id: 310950[/import]

You need a provisional profile to run your own apps on your iOS device.

And you can only create those online if you signed up for the Apple Developer SDK

At least as far as i know, correct me if im wrong. [import]uid: 50459 topic_id: 10950 reply_id: 39873[/import]

Yes, you do need to enroll even if for your own iphone even if jailbroken.

Can’t do anything about that, no ways around it, no ways to cut corners.
