My 1st App with CoronaSDK - Iron Suit Attack!

Good morning everyone. I am very excited to say that my first app made with Corona SDK is now in the the App Store. “Iron Suit Attack” has a (very) retro feel, going back to the days of handheld LCD games. You control a steampunk styled flying iron robot, and attempt to destroy as many planes as possible. 3 misses and it is game over so move fast as the planes get faster as the game progresses. The movement is true to the original style, although I have given the backgrounds a modern twist. High scores can be posted to facebook to compete with your friends.

Please have a look at this short YouTube clip, and check out the full game in the store!

I wanted to make my first game a tribute to the games that got me involved in gaming in the first place, and I hope you like it too.

Thanks,

Wow that looks really cool; I remember those handheld games very well indeed.

Best of luck with downloads!

Thanks Peach, your tutorials have been a huge help to me and tons of others I am sure. Those games were cool huh? I think my mum finally snapped and got one for my birthday when I started taking plates from the washing up pile and trying to guide a drop of water from one side to the other without hitting the other drops! Now that would be extremely retro…but there may be a decent game in there somewhere lol

@Peter ,
Congratulations on getting your 1st app out there LIVE!

You got pretty nice visual effects to get that “game ambient” as a really retro one, I like that.

Wish you the best rate on the downloads. :slight_smile:

No worries - glad to hear my tutorials were useful to you :slight_smile: Always makes me smile.

I used to have like 8 of them; I think one was Lion King related? Hmmm. Nostaligic! [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 29419 reply_id: 118292[/import]
