I agree with the shooting mechanics.
I like the scrolling parallax, and enemy movement. The play mechanics are very odd. The laser going straight up is odd.
My instinct was to use my right thumb to “direct” fire to whatever direction I wanted, but I was “forced” to just shoot up which I found strange at best. I was confused by it, which I think is a no no.
A person should be able to know how to play your game instantly, or at least have a “how to play screen” 
It’s a great effort, just needs more polish on the game play mechanics.
That’s a straight up honest review. Don’t read into it as I am bashing just giving you my thoughts on it. I play and download dozens of games daily, and if I get lost after 2 minutes or less, I know something went haywire with the game and I lose interest.
