My experience of Corona.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Corona in general. Up until 8 weeks ago, I had never done any coding whatsoever and never wanted to. However, I did have some ideas for a number of versions of the same app. About two years ago, I asked a small tech company here in Scotland if they could create a template for these apps so that I could simply populate this template with content. Firstly they said a template wouldn’t really work so they would populate each app as and when. Secondly, they quoted £10,000 (ten thousand pound) for the first app!

Thanks to Corona and the many people who have helped me, today I uploaded four versions of that app to both the appstore and android marketplace. Regardless of whether these apps are best sellers or not,
they would either not be on the android marketplace at all or be there at huge cost to myself if it wasn’t for Corona and the individuals who frequent the forums.

So it’s is a success story regardless of what happens next. Thanks everyone.

I’m glad everything worked out! 10,000 pounds WOW thats expensive! Anyway, would you mind telling us the names of your apps? Hopefully they will be on the front page of Itunes pretty soon!

Hi Chris

The concept is called ‘blether!’ and the first four titles are

blether! -gifts!

blether! -make that call!

blether! -red carpet!

blether! -mirror, mirror!

Thanks for your positive comments.

Bob

Thank you for your kind word, and congrats on the apps. Do you have the links so we can see them?

My experience of using Corona has been a candy coated chocolate iced cream filled donut that keeps being loaded with more great features. [import]uid: 4596 topic_id: 12413 reply_id: 45255[/import]

New to Corona and Lua and am still working on my first title, but my experience has been great so far, too. It takes a lot of the grunt work out of game programming.

This community is amazing, too. [import]uid: 58455 topic_id: 12413 reply_id: 45265[/import]
