My very first app made with Corona has been approved today : A memory game for kids is an iPad game for kids from 3 to 6. The goal is simple : match pairs of cards with the fewest possible mistakes as possible. Each type of card allows children to learn : animals, countries, letters… It’s free and available in english and french, it’s also :
more than 24 original drawings
4 levels : 16, 30, 40 or 48 cards
high-quality sounds and voices
original music
4 wallpapers
I made this little app to test Corona SDK (which is really great by the way !) and to make my first steps in the app world. Soon more games will be published.
Hello jencbrown,
Thank you for your message.
Well, as a Flash developer, I simply learned trying to “convert” my ActionScript code into Lua code.
If you have no experience in programming / scripting, a good start would probably be to read / try / modify Corona sample codes : http://www.coronalabs.com/resources/tutorials/
Lua is rather easy to learn : if you go step by step (displaying images, using variables, storing datas and so on…), you should make fast progress.
Hope it helps a little bit…
Have a nice day,
Emmanuel
