My First Game Just Launched on Google Play: NastyBats Bats Game Ever

It’s been a long road but I finally got there. My first game published on Google Play. I’m ecstatic!

Anyway, give it go and don’t rage quit. Also, let me know if it made you laugh.

Thank you so much Corona SDK for this opportunity to make games. Any other way and I’d never made it. Seriously. Thank you.

Google Play NastyBats Bats Game Ever

It looks nice but you are on dodgy grounds with your GFX which look awfully like Angry Birds graphics.

It looks like a Flappy Bird variant ; I often wondered if the reason it was removed was not the given one (why remove a game that is making shedloads ?) but because the graphics were largely pinched from Super Mario World.

If you can’t draw (I know what it’s like, I can’t) there are plenty of free images to use (things like OpenClipArt), or there are people who will create graphics for you for a cost.

It probably won’t matter - but if your game does take off, then the owners of AB may get difficult.

Well, NastyBats Bats Game Ever will have it’s graphical updates no doubt. I slapped those graphics and animations together as quick as I could as I knew I’d be spending way more time putting it together and getting it unto Google Play. I probably spent like a day on the art and the last 2 months on the code.

Also, If anyone wants to avoid HUGE waste of time be sure to download java jdk 1.6 and NOT jdk 1.7 or higher. Just saying. Getting that keystore to work was a pain. Then when you have to redo your keystore the right way you’ll have to abandon your original Google Play Game Publication.

I’ve had to Unpublish the first uploaded apk. I’ll update the link.
