My game runs perfectly in the Kindle Simulator but is completely messed up on the physical device.

My game runs perfectly in the Kindle Simulator but has a whole litany of problems on the actual physical device. I tried building with SDK 667, 806 and it creates builds that are terrible. Can’t select things, some graphical elements aren’t displayed,

I build with 704 and it’s a little better but still really really bad. Too many problems to make it worthwile to find the problem and implement workarounds dirtying up my code base when it runs so well on iOS devices.

The strange thing is I can install the same Kindle builds on my Acer Iconia Tab A500 and it runs perfectly.

Is anyone else experiencing such immense problems? [import]uid: 295 topic_id: 26086 reply_id: 326086[/import]

Well I have nasty problems with the Kindle’s accelerometer (not nearly as bad as what’s reported on the Nook). I have some performance issues with Storyboard, which maybe a bug that got introduced recently. And I have some positioning problems with text on the KF I don’t seem to have on other places. Usually a :setReferencePoint(display.CenterReferencePoint seems to fix them even though that should be the default.

I’ve not been very impressed with it as a device either. [import]uid: 19626 topic_id: 26086 reply_id: 105643[/import]

I’m about to give up. I don’t think Corona is able to live up to it’s promise of supporting the Kindle Fire very well. Maybe with very simple coding but it will fail with anything complex.

And just as I thought it’s impossible to get any good help from Ansca on these forums anymore. It usually takes some yelling at them on Twitter to get any response.

TokyoDan - can you send me an email with more detail on the issues you are seeing on Kindle? [import]uid: 10668 topic_id: 26086 reply_id: 107391[/import]
