Hi my thread about sound suddenly stopping working has gone and I found it on google but it just goes back to the main forum page.
You can find it by googling for “My sounds in corona sdk have suddenly stopped working” but it doesn’t work.
You asked me if I had updated my software or my code and I told you that no my code is the same and I updated only one thing which was the last World of Warcraft patch and you said you would get back to me.

I asked the engineers and they felt it probably wasn’t WoW related, but more likely a Windows update. I’m having trouble finding the email.
Do any of our sample apps demonstrate this issue? Have you made any Java changes?
Hi Rob I am using a Apple Macintosh computer my dad has windows but I use my mom’s macintosh. What is java? What email?
The “email” is a message I sent them about this problem that they responded to. For some reason I thought you were on Windows.
Have you tried running any of our sample apps that play sounds?
Sorry I got confused. No I am on Macintosh, Warcraft is for Mac too. I have tried almost all the sample apps and many that should play sound but they are not playing any sounds at all even with my volume on full.
Rob can you please help me I need help from corona team my sounds still are not working with any samples or my own code?
I found my missing message. Have you tried uninstalling Corona SDK and re-installing it?
Rob I already did that lots of times and it still won’t work and we tried daily builds and stable builds because I use my brothers account for corona sdk and mine for corona forum but I really need help because I will fail my project if my apps sound work work so please help me this has been going on for AGES?
PLEASE ANYONE HELP?
Can you build for device and see if you get sounds on the device?
Just to be asking the dumb questions: You are getting sounds from other apps? Cables checked? Speakers on? Volume up? Not muted? iTunes plays music okay?
Can you check the sound output device, and make sure it’s set to something that makes sense ( http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4397 ).
Also can you try doing a iphone simulator build, that could rule out the Corona Simulator as an issue.
We tried building and it said there was a certificate problem and Lee doesn’t have an apple account so he can’t build at his house and we really need this to work for school but it wont work. Other sounds are playing fine and we dont know what to do please help?
Doing an iphone simulator build shouldn’t need a certificate. Though you will need xcode installed. Are there any errors printed out in the terminal when your sound is trying to be played? Does the sample code that makes sound still work?
